We are able to offer full or part rally preperation for your classic Mini. We can build a competition style classic Mini to any spec you wish if you to take part in a few road rallies or take on a full championship such as the MSA British Historic Rally Championship. We carried out the following work to this Mk2 Mini Cooper S.
We carried out quite a lot of work to this clients Mk II Cooper S. The Mini Cooper was going to be used for road rallying and some local events. After a consultation with the client we decided on the spec.
The client supplied us 1340cc engine which we fully inspected before fitting. We replaced the head gasket and water pump just in case along with a new heater matrix as it was leaking.
The interior was removed and the floor was strenthend and plates were welded in for the roll cage.
We then put the MK II Mini Cooper onto the ramp and removed the road wheels. All the running gear was re-furbished, new drums, shoes and brake cylinders were added & front hubs were re-built. A full MIni Sport handling kit was fitted. A set of Yoko 165/60/10 were fitted and balanced.
The client requested a late servo to be fitted after some modification to the bonnet and bulkhead the servo was soon in place. Mini Sport alloy 4 pot calipers and grooved discs to give ultimate stopping power.
Then we finished the rest of the sevice and carried out the M.O.T. After the M.O.T. it was back on the ramp to set up all the suspension and further tune the engine.
We then tested the car for for over 7days to iron out any issues. Once we were happy the we waxoiled the underside and then fully valeted the Classic Mini Cooper MkII.
